A prayer to Ganesha

A prayer to Ganesha

Yes, you were the chosen one...

I chose you—
Before you even knew.
The universe lives within me...
Do you believe?
Who am I? Am I a myth?

I deserve you—whole.
Mind, body, soul.
In my heart is a hole,
It bleeds like a scroll
You sealed with your lips,
So I could breathe longer,
Grow stronger,
Smile brighter.

And so I thought of returning to you
With the secret treasures
Of my mind, body, soul.

You got overwhelmed.
It was too much—
My love, time, energy,
My health, my wealth—of every sort.
You couldn’t digest it.
So you planned to run
With the little treasure you could hold.
New paths you found,
New windows opened...
And now I’m useless,
Unwanted.
In my heart—two holes.
They bleed a lot.
Who will help now, I wonder?

And the memories,
Good or bad,
That just make it difficult to move on,
Without being sad.
Sad to not forget the pain,
Sad to remember the loss in vain.

Some want it quick.
Some want it late.
All of them, weaving sin into fate.
Dead, broken hearts,
Bleeding for ages,
Rotting in silence,
Smelling foul,
Because they never believed
There is a cure.
And that cure is pure love.
Love for the soul—
Pouring from a heart of gold.

The heart of a king.
The heart of a lion.
Precious as it is—
Hard to earn,
Hard to keep,
Hard to feed.

So they steal little pieces and run.

Poor people...
I feel pity.
Come, take more.
Everyone—take it all.
I don’t need it.
Take everything,
Before it stops beating.
I can’t bear this for long...

Because the one it really beats for
Is gone.🌎🌞

The Sun is hot—unbearable.
The father of all, giver of life.
The Moon is calm,
To romance and soothe your soul.
Mars is fierce and wild,
To protect and provide.
Jupiter—the Teacher,
Granting the knowledge you seek.
Saturn—the Stern One,
Making you wise and meek.

Ah yes... you’re right.
Venus is missing.

She’s wandering, with free will,
In ego, pride, grief, pain, anger, guilt, lust,
Or doing something random,
Directionless—
And heading towards the unknown.

So I try...
With all my might—
To search for her
On this dark, lonely night.
As our souls don't mean fight.

Oh God, show her the light—
So the snakes don’t bite,
The wolves don’t fool,
The monkeys don’t laugh,
The hyenas don’t grin,
The jackals don’t hurt,
The donkeys don’t kick,
The dogs don’t chase...

Or send her to the elephants.
My Ganesha will guard her
Until I hear the trumpets,
And a smile sparks across my face...

Oh Ganesha—
Today is your day.
I fold my hands and pray.
She is your mother.
She is my wife.
She is my beloved Parvati.
Bring her back without strife.

She was only upset—
And ran away...
And I was so anxious
I lost my way.

But with your help,
We’ll restart what simply paused.
Forgive us both
For the trouble we caused.

A miracle happened—
We are blessed with you,
My protector since the start,
With my growth and joy in view.
